Customs and Border Patrol Arrests 2 Previously Deported Sex Offenders

Border Patrol officers arrested two illegal alien sex offenders over the weekend, U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced Tuesday.

“Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents from the Ajo Station arrested two male Mexican nationals during separate weekend incidents who had been convicted in California for sex crimes involving minors,” the agency said in a press release.

Zeferino Galindo-Lopes, 32, was apprehended near Arivaca, Arizona, on Friday, while Francisco Bravo-Ruelas, 38, was arrested near Ajo, Arizona, on Saturday.

Both men have prior convictions for sex offenses involving children and both had been deported previously.

“During processing, agents conducted a records search and found [Galindo-Lopes] was convicted in 2015 for sexual molestation of a child,” the Border Patrol’s statement reads, while a “records search revealed [Bravo-Reulas] was convicted for having sex with a minor.”

“Both subjects are being prosecuted for illegal re-entry into the United States,” the statement confirms.

This come on the heels of a series of arrests involving illegal aliens guilty of sexual assault offenses.

Two weeks ago, illegal alien Douglas Hus-Flores was arrested in Stamford, Connecticut, for the rape of a three-year old girl.

The arrests also come less than one week after the apprehension of 46-year-old Rene Murillo-Almansa, an alien with significant criminal record who was deported previously, by Border Patrol agents near Nogales. In the early 1990s, Murillo-Almansa was convicted for the rape of a child.
